Local businesses team up to promote a sun safe summer

Redimed Healthcare Group and Perth’s Outback Splash are teaming up to promote the importance of staying safe in the sun this summer, through the #SunSafeSummer campaign.
Skin cancer rates in Australia are the highest in the world, so it is clear that sun protection messages are simply not working. And with 2 in 3 Australians affected by skin cancer every year, sun protection has never been more important.

Initiated by Redimed Healthcare, the #SunSafeSummer campaign offers a simple guide for all Australians, to remind us to SLIP, SLOP, SLAP, SEEK and SLIDE when preparing for fun in the sun. The newest components of the guide direct us to SEEK some shade, and SLIDE on some sunglasses for added protection from the harmful sun.

After recently opening four new waterslides, Perth’s Outback Splash is set to host families throughout summer, and has jumped on board to promote this important message within the park.
“Perth’s Outback Splash is committed to providing a fun, unforgettable and safe family day out. Don’t forget to SLIP, SLOP, SLAP, SEEK and SLIDE before you slide this summer” – Paul Woodcock, CEO, Perth’s Outback Splash.
